Greetings! Having started recently in the world of Confrontation, I'm trying to gather a small force of Alchemists which could do for small games. I currently have: -3 Dawn Warriors -2 Sentinels of Danakil -Thissan Ka (unable for small games, I know) - 1 Biopsist (the one with the axe and the orb) -2 Tigers of Dirz. The plastic ones from Rag'narok, though. But I expect to get a metal one soon (I think they are better sculpted).
So, which minis from the Alchemists of the Scorpion do you think I should acquire first for smaller games? I will eventually get most of the range, but I'd like to buy smartly. Thanks.

I really like the Dasyatis clones, Nemesis, and the Aberrations, prohibitive point costs of course but they are really fun minis to paint/assemble/watch crush your foes.

The big monsters are cool, but for now I'm aiming at small games at 200 for example.

The Sentinels of Danakil are really good and you definitely should use them! As they are an upgrade to the Dawn Warriors, you can mix it even with them. The Centurus clones are for the big hitters quite good in their section, and you can get them easy on ebay. With 56 AP they are not as expensive as an Dasyatis clone, but can do the stuff they are supposed to do. Tigers are good, but they don't have Mutagenetic, so you would have less dice if you use them, except you use the Tiger of Shamir profile from the faction cards, but then you couldn't use the Danakil warriors.
My suggestions: • Get some Clone Warriors for cheap blockers and support. Maybe some Helbardiers would do as well, but the Clones are better. • Get a cheap character like Ysis or Sethin. The Wolfen/Dirz Starter Box is pretty nice, with Ysis and three Danakils you have somewhat near 170 points. • If you can, get a Skorize Warrior. Team it up with the Biopsist and you have a wonderful scouting team. The Biopsist-spells are too special, give him Mana Arrow and that's fine. You can even use one of the Tiger's profile with scout as well. • If you want to have some bigger guy in it, use the Centurus

The 26AP keratis warriors with halberds are worth their weight in mutagenics. They may be quite hard to find though. The 33AP ambidextrous profile from the box set is pretty good too (and slightly easier to find).
