The immunity to assassin seems odd to me, though... Never heard of that. Does someone knows about this? "Being of destiny" gives the mini "consciousness". Under C2 rules consciousness had the immunity/assassin benefit. This was lost in the move to C3.X.

Ooh, thanks for the clarification! Since I started shortly before C3 was released, I didn't really know the C2 rules, though I have them all here and could look it up.

Hey guys just getting back into Confrontation and I've managed to source most of the cards.
The one that still eludes me is Occulus Treatment, anyone have any ideas where to find it?

The Occulus Treatment card was in the Laboratories of the Scorpions pack, but I don't know if there's an online version of the card. I'll look into this. And, welcome to the forum, by the way! Great to see someone's coming back to this jewel of a game.

Great to see someone's coming back to this jewel of a game. Yeah all the other Laboratory cards seem to be available via Undermountain or Confsden but not that one. Worst comes to worst I'd someone provides the text I can make one on Rackscan. Coming back? In my heart I was never really away.

I just have the text for the german card, maybe this would help?
Occulus Treatment
Originally created to equip the dreadful assassins of Theben, the Occulus Treatment is widespread among different army corps of the scorpions. The reason for this is the simple use and maintenance: it is a botanic module, its form reminds of an eye. Hung in the hollow of the neck it increases the senses of it's host far beyond human possibilities. But these intense stimuli confuse the human and make him vulnerable.
This treatment can be given to any fighter of the Scorpion who has neither POW nor aspects. The Occulus Treatment gives Consciousness to its user. Is he equipped with a ranged weapon, the range is increased by 10 cm. The user suffers from a -1 to INI, ATT and DEF, as long he is in range of 10 cm of a model, no matter if friend or foe, who has at least one of the following abilities: Warcry/X, Rallying cry or Leadership/X. This malus just occurs once, even if more than one fighter with this ability is in range. The malus is not to use when the model who would cause it is equipped with this same artifact. In Confrontation, a fighter equipped with this treatment can not receive any other treatment. This card does not count against the number of artifacts a model can use.
This card is reserved to the Alchemists of Dirz AP-cost: 10 AP

One question though, when it says that a ranged weapons "range increases by 10cm" does that apply to all range bands?

You're welcome. Yep, the increase is for all range bands. That's why this is my first choice when it comes to Dogs of War.

Yeah that with the Hexalid Crossbow, Sharpshooter career and Theben lab is pretty dirty.

Exactly this was the combination I used. This warband was very thought-out, but it payed off in the end.

Out of interest what did you put that combo on?
My first thought was Neuromancer but then you can get almost the same shooting efficiency with a Hybrid for 12 points less, plus it gives you some real wiggle room for the rest of the warband.

There is a thread for DoW-Warbands. But I used indeed a Neuromancer, because he had the higher AIM and the Psi-Powers. I just realised that maybe he couldn't get the two treatments, but the Occulus text says "when used in Confrontation".
