here's the link from the cipher forum ninjadivision.com/hell-dorado-discontinued/kinda sad that another war-game bites the dust, slow marketing, incredibly slow transfer from Asmodee to Cipher I just feel somewhat dejected that such fantastic models just seem to be wasted and unappreciated by the majority of wargamers what do others feel about this?? is the wargaming market too crowded? I would admit yes, but I still hold out some hope for Confrontation to a least stay alive I am going to have a miserable time collecting what I am missing

I thought they cancelled Helldorado, period. It's a shame - the models were eminently collectable.

Another game that I have miniatures for is dead... (GW)LOTR, Confrontation, Alkemy and HellDorado. With exception of few miniatures for Hordes, I don't own any coherent force for any game-system that is supported. Maybe I will buy 40K. Taking bets on how long will GW survive after that

Isn't GW continuing support for LOTR? I thought they just previewed a big slew of LOTR stuff.

Yes, but there was a lot of years passed without support.. So, while I'm still happy for it, I think that is only "flogging a dead horse". (Of course, I will use opportunity to complete my miniature collection: gotta catch em all! )

After a few years, I've decided to buy the miniatures I like to use them in the most games I'm able to. With the exception of Infinity (and maybe Confrontation, though this is a special situation) I don't usually buy figures from a certain brand to use them in their own wargame.

It's always sad when a product that is loved and played by gamers comes to an end. But there's no reason not to collect and play it anymore, this board is the perfect example for that.
