Long time ago I followed Confrontation at internet. We were playing mostly GW games at those times and it was difficult to find people who will play that game with you -and also buying those Confrontation products was difficult from my country-. So I just 'followed' the game. LAter on we all know the sad ending. (by the way I liked the idea of a game with pre-painted minis but its seems Rackham wasn't that much lucky :/ )
Nowadays my interest for Confrontation sparked again! But i have some issues in my mind so i wish to share them with you and if possible ask for help from you.
Firstly about buying the minis. I found a web site cadwallon.com/ . With a quick search in internet, i learned that that is a an Ukrainian (or Polish) based website and the minis which they are selling are 're-sculpts' of -mostly- original Rackham minis. Does anybody tried that site? Any opinions/comments? Are there any similar websites (I heard something like 'Legendarion' but i couldn't find many Confrontation minis.)
I read rulebook (3 edition and 3.5 ed. update ). ruleset is so complex, like 'compendium style' old RPG or wargame rulebooks back from 90s,80s. I like to read the rules but to 'convert' other players it makes things difficult. Are there any 'simplified' references or quick guide for new players who doesn't like to read complex, difficult to understand rules?
These are my 'beginning' issues
