Ok, Daikinee and Ophidians are ready to play. I included some Elementals that can be used by those two factions and some spells (water, darkness, typhonism and so on) as well as some more destiny miracles for Meari.
Now I'd like to hear your opinions, so try it and make suggestions for improvement.
First, you have to donwload the Vassal engine from here.
The Confrontation module can be downloaded here.
When you start Vassal the first time, choose "open module" and double-click on the Confrontation module.
The Vassal Wiki shows you how to connect with the server and therefore with the person you want to play with.
Here is a little instruction:
First, it is no army generator, so you have made up your mind already what you are gonna play. Second, due to the lack of cards, I did not included the litanies and spells from the rulebook and since rackscan is down I don't see any way to achieve this. If anyone of you have those cards as print versions I'd be happy about a scan. The only thing I could do are the german versions, since this is the only online material still available.
Choose a side (Player 1 or 2) and a gameboard. If the loading bar freezes during loading like this
just ignore it and click cancel, it doesn't matter. It's from an older map I deleted, but somehow it still pops up.
After the start, choose your cards and drag&drop them onto your hand. Drag&Drop only works with the images, both for cards and miniatures, so don't try to drag&drop the name. The other Player shouldn't be able to see your hand, but I'm not sure about the cards menu and the choosing.
From there you build your activation card pile, the last card you want to play comes first onto the pile.
To decide who goes first, write the DIS you are gonna use in the message box and click on "1d6" for the roll. After this, play the cards either to your activation part or hold them in reserve.
Click "chose faction" to deploy the troups and characters. Again, drag&drop only works with the images. A chosen unit has a red frame. Make sure you clicked on the chosen unit, sometimes the picture from the choose menu is activated and you turn this picture or give it a toxic dice or so.
All commands and other stuff are available via right click onto the unit. The Guardians for example are Scouts and therefore hidden. The Archer gets a Toxic dice.
Some units have an Aura like Leadership, Aura of Faith or Consciousness. The Warrior's Consciousness area includes the Guardians who are no longer hidden.
Every player chooses his unit for the DIS roll. You can use either the menu via right click or the keyboard shortcut.
The Ophidians go first. The Archer moves and for the measuring of the distance choose "distance" from the menu, click on the Archer and then on the Mandigorn to see the distance in cm.
Roll AIM for the Archer, check the STR of his distance weapon with the RES of the Mandigorn. You can either open your Hand cards again to see it or right click and check the overview for the attributes. Click on "2d6" for the wound roll, add STR and RES and check on the woundtable.
The final result is a "2 on 2", so the Mandigorn suffers a light wound. Change his Health status via menu or shortcut.
The Hand-to-Hand Combat Dice can be choosen as well from a menu. Just use the "A" for attack dice and the "D" for defence dice. The Fencer dice can be handled according to the rules. Once chosen and put onto the image of the miniature, you can delete them via right click menu after use.
Have fun testing it! Maybe we could arrange some tests via the forum as well?
