These Elves are pretty good, and so far I've never lost with them. They are a bit tricky though, because they have a lot of different influences on each other, so that's always a thing to keep in mind.
Usually I paly a list like this:
Maneös with Goran and Shell Shaenre with Calming Flow and Force of Nature Kurujai with Bow-Spirit 3 Skarab Warriors Mandigorn 2 Archers or a Zephir Sylph
Sometimes there are three characters, sometimes just two, but usually Maneös is always there. The Skarab Warriors are too damn good not to take, and with the support from Shaenre (she can give Born Killer to Maneös for 2 Water) she's nearly unstoppable. Kurujai and Shaenre are also a good team (he shoots and inflicts wounds, she therefore gets Mana), also they are one of the few Bloodbrothers in the game. Meari with the Recovery of the Mandigorn is a nasty surprise, because this beetle-tank is damn hard to kill. Zephirs are also nice shooters as well as fighters in close combat. Numae, his warstaff and the Guards are nice if you want to have six scouts. I never used Onental or Irul so far and haven't painted Erhyl and her beetle yet. Dream Warriors are also nice, but I use them more often in DoW than Confro. Sylph and Mandigorn team up nicely as flying attackers.

I love these guys to. Those are the sculpts that got me in the Confrontation. In my list, 3 zephyrs and Shaenre & Kurujai are auto-include. And, Sylph is great if you face wolfens or other armies with fear. Other figures are dependent on my mood. At the moment, I like to troll my opponent with Onental/quicksilver. Only one that I can't find efficient usage is Meari. 2 archers are more effective than her...

Zephirs are also really great in Dogs of War. At the last German Confrontation Tournament I played against Onental and he drove me mad just engaging and re-engaging... I'm totally on your side with Meari. The Mandigorn ressurection is nice or to summon some Silvan Animae, but there are no Daikinee Miracles that are useful, so that leaves the Path of Destiny miracles. With more pints than 400, sure, why not, but not in a 400 point game.

Dienikes pastured these guys to really strong effect, I hope he chimes in. I didn't respect the force until he figured out how to wreck me consistently, then I couldn't stand them/wanted to play them!

Use the Mandigorn as flying tank, this monster with a dive attack hurts very much. Pair him with a flying Sylph for INI-bonus or a scouting Guard who is not spotted by the Wolfen yet. Let the Skarabs attack together or paired up with a Zephir (Assault Fire with Ferocious shooting? Go for it!), let a mage cast Force of Nature on them for +4 STR when charging in this round. The other way around, weaken the enemie's STR by -4 with the Weakening spell and heal all of your fighters in 10cm with Calming Flow on 4 or higher. (All spells from the rulebook) The Skarabs can deliver a Masterstrike without failing, so when Force of Nature was cast, they have a STR 17 Masterstrike with Fine Blade. So against Wolfen I would suggest: Maneös with her artifacts Shaenre with Force of Nature, Weakening and Calming Flow 3 Skarab Warriors Mandigorn 2 Zephirs Sylph Or, if you make your opponent really mad, use Onental as you already described. Engage the Worg with him and then, in the beginning of hth-combat, just disengage nd the Worg could do nothing in this round, because he has no pursuit movement as he didn't kill his opponent. In the meantime, all the others can handle the rest of the Wolfen. Just make sure you engage the Worg all the time with Onental.

Those madigorns... you gotta love a model that gets to go wherever and do whatever it wants! That thing is a beast.

Pastured=played
I'm sorry you are getting that thrown at you!I hope you are playing scenarios, those trick Wolfen lists rarely work in that regard (Unless it's like counters in the center of the board, lol!).

But so are the Cynwäll as well, and on this side I'm glad that there are not that many models out for them. Just imagine the possibilities with four times as many miniatures...

They definitely need to work together to pull off the win. I dont think I ever had less than 18 models in a list with this army. Got to find my book of lists so I can start putting a few up.I enjoyed how Oriental got that extra movement in H2H with his swords. And if you thought that was bad wait till you try out Lens and her stilts!

Yep, lol! I feel really badly for Behemoths and Daikeene because the never got the full line of releases or theme packs... agree with you totally the sculpting was so unique that looking for proxy figs is rather demoralizing, we also don't know what new and unique profiles were in the pipeline before R switched to ConFragaRok the newsletters from the french C-Dragon-Rouge have some ideas for proxies for the Daikinee army, living legend sylph and a living legend treeman difficult to know what R had planned, they are the only game that I know of that has a giant kickass flying beetle, so I wonder if treemen may not have been in their army concept

the french Confederation of the Red Dragon confrontation.vraiforum.com/index.phpo r here is the newsletter which has the Daikinee
Sorry but any one of these newsletters is too big to be attached, max of 1 Mb is a wee bit too small for this computer age! The Daikinee are in one of the 2 most recent, quite well done and polished newsletters
