I submerged into the Akkyshan lore a bit and tried to make up some stats and backgrounds that I want to discuss with you guys, especially the AP costs. I used the Matrix from the Librevent Forum, but as there is no basic cost sheet (and I'm a real bungler with excel), I'm not quite sure about it.
From the Cyanide Wiki, the Rag'Narok and Cadwallon books I took some background as well, looked for fitting miniatures and came up with some stat cards, special abilites and backgrounds.
The faction ability should be Toxic/X, because this is mentioned everywhere: The Devourer Half-Elves can chose from an ability depending on their origin, the same with Cadwallon. in both sources, it's Toxic for the Akkyshan. The priests should be regular priests and not Iconoclasts, because they sacrifice the own believers and their god formed them to what they are now, similar to the Mid-Nor. And the only existing Akkyshan has no Iconoclast either as well.
Vârmishi (the name derrivates from „vermin“)
These are the lowest ranks, formed from slaves and young warriors who have not shown their worth yet. They are often sacrificed for cruel rituals or prtecting their superiors with their lifes.
Abilities: Toxic/1. Devotion/3 OR Martyr/3.
Abilities Archer: Abilities: Toxic/1. Devotion/3 OR Martyr/3. Instinctive Firing.
Akari (the name comes from the classification for mites)
If a Vârmishi survives long enough, he becomes an Akari. He has shown his worth and can rely on the Vârmishi to save his life. They still guard their superiors with their life, but they are not sacrified any longer.
Abilities: Toxic/1. Fanatism. Resolution/3.
Abilities Archer: Abilities: Toxic/1. Harassment.
Special ability of Vârmishi and Akari:
They’d risk their life without hesitation to protect their superiors. If a Vârmishi or Akari is in base contact with an enemy who wounded a superior Akkyshan rank, roll a D6: On a 4+ the inferior suffers the wound and not the initial target.
This is similar to the Goblin Ströhm Bodyguard and was included in the AP cost.
Fherân (derivated from „feral“)
They mastered the control oft he many beasts in the army of Ashinan. Those beastmasters learned to melt their mind with the minds of the beasts to have a better control. The beasts can be used without the Fherân, but only together they unfold their true potential.
Abilities: Toxic/2. Consciousness. Feint.
Special Ability: When building an army, up to three beasts can be assigned to a Fherân. For 5 AP they can get the ability Consciosness. If the Fherân and a beast are within 20 cm, they can use the eyesight of the other miniature.
Atrâsh (derivated from Atrax robustus, the very poisonous australian funnel-web spider)
This is the first form of elite. Hardened in many battles there is less that can distress them. Their faith in Lilith and their loyality towards their leaders is solid as a rock. Brutality and Cruelty are valued and the revenge of their masters is made to theirs. They command the lower ranks.
Abilities: Toxic/3. Brutish Charge. Ferocious.
Special Ability: An Atrâsh can command his inferiors 20 cm around him. For every command he has to reduce his MOV for this round for 2,5 cm. When he moved already, he can not use this ability. A Vârmishi or Akari can move again his MOV on the card. With this movement he can attack (not charge) an enemy. If he has to resolve from hand-to-hand combat, he gets Disengagement/7 for this.
Shîvenos (from Selenops, again an australian spider that is able to glide)
Those priestresses are favoured by their godess, as one can tell by the deformations of their bodies. To have a better overview of the battle, they developed wings like some spiders and direct the battle from above.
Abilities: Toxic/2. Fly/25. Thaumaturgy. Novice of Lilith/15. Warrior-Monk.
Additional Limb.
Special Ability: They can use the ability Martyr even when flying.
Tarsâl (from the Tarsal claw on a tarantulas leg)
The fighting sorceresses from the Sisterhood oft he Widow command the battle regarding the orders from the Matriarchs. They have no scruple to kill the inferiors or sacrifice them for their own needs.
Abilites: Toxic/2. Leap. Vivacity. Warrior-Mage. Initiate of Darkness/ Black Magic.
For all those I have miniatures already. As soon as they are glued and primed, I'll show you, but let's discuss the stats and abilities first.

The army of the Spider is organized in concentric circles of power. The members of each cast are loyally protected by the warriors of the rank below. The inferior shield their superiors, such is the law of Ashinân. The Akkyshans have a taste for sacrifices: members of the lower casts are thoroughly conditioned; they will gladly sacrifice their lives and souls whenever they are given the order. The heart of the army is constituted by the most powerful matriarchs: the sorceresses of the Widow. These accomplished witches and priestesses are formidable assassins. They casually sacrifice masses of lower class soldiers to feed their blood fuelled magic, in order to please the cannibal goddess or to conceal themselves and deal the final strike that will seal their victory. Around them, the other high ranking Akkyshans form the elite units. The terrifying orb-weavers, whose body is half that of an elf and half that of a spider, or the venom-warrioresses form a close guard. This strike force defeats the enemy using iron, terror and poison. To feed their frenzy, these units will make no distinction when killing allies and enemies alike. At the bottom of the hierarchy the main body of the army is found. Semiferal creatures, such as the barghest and various giant insects, line up in monstrous ranks. Soldiers – those too young to have yet shown their worth in combat and the declining elders – are lined up with slaves whose minds have been darkened by the curses of the sorceresses of the Widow. They are disposable, they ought to be the first to volunteer for sacrifice in gruesome rituals of black magic practiced by the higher ranking Akkyshans.
