I kinda like the look of the new bases :-) I know there's not much detail yet but, having had to go down a similar route myself I know how hard giving info can be when a project is in development. You want to get out there and tell people about it but can't say too much as many things aren't concrete yet.

This is sort of the thing that happened. Rumours from the french board have it, that the publisher SD wanted them to push out some news very early, without having much to tell or when even contracts are still in the making. Let's just be patient, it's at least way more than the Phoenix Edition has ever put out.

With the re-release of this product line, it stands to reason that many models will likely be redone to modernize them, or simply because a quality mold no longer exists. So Here's a random question:
*IF* they plan to redo some of the classic sculpts, which models would you like to see this done to?
I'd like to see a new version of the Red Lioness (2nd Incarnation). I always thought she was an intriguing character, with nice concept art...but the sculpt didn't do it for me. They redid the sculpt for C:AoR, but that sculpt felt generic. I'd like to see a new version that either captures the feel of the artwork, or a new pose altogether.

I wouldnt mind seeing some of the tir-na-bar range redone to be more in line with the new versions of the thermo warriors. But if I had to pick a character, it would be Kael the Irascible.

Some rumours from the Trolls & Legends Convention:
• Metal seems to be out of the discussion, plastic seems to be the choice for almost sure. • Two rule versions: the old cards get adaptations for the new ruleset and the new miniatures get old cards according to 3.5 • It's only gonna be skirmish, the Rag'Narok is over an no one has the strength left for big armies. • The factions will still be there, but re-arranged. Some had a schism (Lions, Griffins, Wolfen), some get a real change. It seems that the Goblins fled across the oceans... Nevertheless, all old factions will be playable. • It really takes some time until everything in the background etc. is settled, so it will at least take about 1 more year until we see something finished. • There will be meetings/discussions with Cadwallon.com, but they made it clear, that they don't have any license.

So are they actually going to be able to stop cadwallon.com? A year seems like a long time to wait, but that's probably because I am impatient in general.

it will at least take about 1 more year until we see something finished My gut tells me it's going to be a slow year for Confrontation related news. All signs point to these guys announcing this project WAY too soon. Hype shot through the roof, and then it all slowly fades away, because the guys weren't able to offer much substance.

So if they are going to talk to cadwallon.com, shouldn't they also talk to CMON about Wrath of Kings? The new Moonclave Executioners are just wolfin with different armour and weapons.
