gohkm: Uh, that's really nasty! Rackham Ankle Syndrom... Yeah, that's a thing for sure. But the bases look great! What about the miniatures? tequilaman: Wow, that's quite a pile of terrain! I'd suggest not to paint blood into the skulls, or if you want to, I'd say you make something with liquid green stuff. Otherwise, it would just look painted and not like a real liquid from the skulls. @ all the others: what about your stuff from July?

A few days late and a few models short, but I at least have these 3 guys done. goo.gl/photos/6iVW1FkKN6tN3vSBASorry about the lighting in the picture, but it is late and I don't have time to set up my good camera and light studio.

That's a interesting choice of colours, especially concerning contrast, that fits very well. The marble base is really stylish!

Thanks for the compliments. I don't always feel that my minis look very good. By the way, here is the link to the rest of my minis. goo.gl/photos/48EQk9eNgtt1GQHLA

Basecoat VMA Aged White, shade with Seraphim Sepia, Reikland Fleshshade, and Agrax Earthshade in rapid succession.
The I draw in really thick, ugly lines with P3 Bloodstone. I wick a wet brush over the lines while the paint is still wet and feather the line edges. I go back with P3 Battlefield Brown to paint in very thin lines of dark brown in these feathered lines.
Lastly, I take P3 Ember Orange and glaze that randomly. Got to by very careful here as the orange can very easily overwhelm the lines.

Thanks for sharing! They are really great, I like the gold + purple combination, that works very well! I finished two Tir-Na-Bor and two Griffins so far. While the Dwarves follow the already started style, I wanted to have something different for the Griffin Bases. I wanted them to look more mediterranean, so I went for a very light stone and rubble, together with some succulents. For this, I used fresh thyme as plants and dried thyme for fallen leaves, because first it fits quite well and second I already used this on the older bases. The fresh thyme was covered in carpenters glue and varnish, but it dried in the meantime (well, obviously...), so I won't use it again, but the fallen leaves with thyme and oregano are really good. And they smell nice...

Hey there, my graveyard project is nearly done, only the sand and dirt basing and a light drybrush of that basing and a dull coat is missing. Also I decided that the miniatures of Leonidas has been long enough in my bitsbox, so I made a statue out of him, the plastic will be hidden under glue and sand in the future. As there were some loose tombstone in this set I made graves our of them. Each grave is roughly the size of a Confrontation Card. They should come in handy on the Confrontation Evolution scenarios where 9 graveyard themed terrain pieces can be used. I had a lot of fun doing the graves esp. the one with the brass fist as a tombstone. I think a bigger guy (look at the size of the grave rocks) was buried there. The brass fist could also mean that he was some kind of a thug or a bruiser. Also I really really wanted to paint miniatures again, since I worked so long on terrain. Here are 3 wip familiars of air that will be based and dull coated along with graveyard. With the brass oxide color as there skin tone I wanted to express there magic nature. Hope you like them.

tequilaman: That's a lot of cool stuff for sure, I really like the patina! The small details give life to those tombstones, like the Blood Bowl Hand on the column etc. You nailed the unearthly nature of the familiars for sure, but I think another colour give them more depth and detail. It wouldn't be necessary do do it everywhere, just to get some special highlight. agelmar: Again, good job! How is the gaming with the other guys? Are they Rackham-infected yet? gohkm: The combination with the metals, esp. gold, and purple is really nice! So, what about September? I finished these:

I have 2 new Confrontation players quite addicted. We've been having scheduling issues, but now are getting together more often. I'm still working on 2 more, but they are less interested since they have not yet made it to any games. I'm actually having to sort through all of my collection and decide what minis I can part ways with just to make sure my new players will have some Rackham minis. Anyone got Alahan characters they want to sell?

My graveyard is finally completely finished. I quiet like the result but I won't ever do this kit again. Maybe the air familiars could need a little more colour difference as @atreju wrote but that was a little late, since they are already based and varnished now. Maybe I will look into them at a later stage. For the miniature pictures I tried another lighting setup, sadly one light sat a little low, that's the blue thing on the pictures. @atreju Thanks for your encouraging words. Buy the way the "Blood Bowl Hand" is a left over Warhammer Fantasy Battles Oger hand, which sat in my bitsbox for quiet some years. I glued that hand on a cheap brush handle, the brush hair was used to build my scatter terrain reed. So nothing was wasted and the brush is now fully assimilated in my terrain collection.
