Hi there, I bought a Dirz collection on eBay. Now I'm in the process of puzzling figures together, cleaning, glueing, pinning them and so on. Because I managed to finally finish of my graveyard terrain, which I will post pictures once all varnish layers are applied and dried. In the collect where 2 models for the resculpted Sasia Samaris, the ones that were sold in a box "la rose du désert" together. But sadly here "coat" that the left figure is hovering is missing. Could somebody please make pictures of that coat front and back with a ruler in cm next to it? Because I'm going to sculpt a coat myself. Or does anybody has a left over coat? The collection also had a lot of Dawn Warriors type miniatures, but maybe not enough arms to build them all. I think I have: 1x Sethin, 7x Dawn Warriors and 5x Sentinels of Danakil (the 5 had been released together in the Sentinelles de Danakil box). One of the Sentinels of Danakil is female, that was a tough one to differentiate from Sethin. What is the difference between a Dawn Warrior and a Sentinels of Danakil per figure and in game? Is it worth to build special figures that are Dawn Warriors and others that are Sentinels of Danakil? Or should I build some figures that can be played as boath? How many of these Dawn Warriors type miniatures should I build for Confrontation? I feel like 12 of them is just a lot to paint but to many to use them together. Also I had some dirz figures more than once. Some of them still in there OVP. If there is an interest to trade them here I can post in the trade section here.

here is the picture in big: www.bilder-upload.eu/show.php?file=c98db7-1506068963.jpgShall I try to recast one for you. You pay the shipping. Sentinel of Danakil are a little bit smaller than the Dawn Warriors, the Dawn Warriors are a little bit more bulkier. The Face Masks are different. The poses are different. The Sword-Axes are different. The difference ingame? looks like 2 values on the characterisitcs AND Danakil have survival instinct, and Mutagenic/1 vs Mutagenic/0

Thank you very much, tyrrus. Your post helped me a lot. For your recasting offer for the cloak that sounds good, let's discuss this via private message or email. Just out of curiosity is that cloak from an eBay auction selling a Confrontation bulk lately? If that is the case I might have the parts that you are missing and the other way around to build complete models, i.e. i have the left weapon hand of a wolfen zombie with a scythe but nothing else from that miniature. Maybe you need a hand for that model?

And the Sentinels are already bound to the Laboratory of Danakil, at least that's stated on my card. So you can't play them in any other laboratory-bound army. The Dawn Warriors are the older versions, so you can easily mix the models and use them either as Sentinels or Dawn Warriors, this block looks like a unit from Rag'Narok from the former owner.

No the cloak is not from a e-bay auction. Dirz is one of the main armies which I collect. So I own a lot Dirz figures.

The Confrontation 2 player starter box contains contains among other things 3 Dawn Warrior miniatures and the box states that they are Sentinels of Danakil. The gaming card of the Sentinels of Danakil in that box shows the picture of a Dawn Warrior figure, but the rest is like the posted Sentinels of Danakil card above in this thread. Looks like even Rackham thought they had some similarities. ;-) What I found interesting in that 2 player starter set is, that there is at least one slightly different sculp for one of the Sentinels of Danakil/ Dawn Warrior miniatures.

So I finished the Sasia Samaris Cloak for Tequilaman. First I made casting-forms out of plaster. It is not the perfect material for it, but we want to keep it cheap. My plaster was maybe to dry, could have been more fluid, the extraction of the original piece was a little bit tricky. At the tail it wasn't casted correctly, which will be later a problem. But overall it is a good casting-form. Then I left the plaster for many days to dry in the sun or on the heating unit of the room. Today I casted the figure with Tin. I heated the casting-forms in the oven and with a hot air gun. I melted the tin. I put the casting-forms between 2 pieces of wood and connected them with rubberbands so that the casting-forms stay together. Then I casted. I waited couple of minutes, the top part of the cloak seperated easily from the casting-form, but at the base part it was stuck. I used pliers and screwdrivers with a leverage. It won't come out of the casting-form, then I used more force and of course the plaster casting-form cracked and was split in half. With glueing I could perhaps reuse it. But I think the second cast would be worse. So the tail of the cloak was trapped in this little bubble, where the casting-form was not correct. So at one shoulder the recasted cloak is not correct and has a flash (casting error), but the the thickness of the material is not so thick so he will be able to remove it. Another thing is the tail of the cloak there is a massive lump of tin. With a lot of work he can remove this as well. But I watched it several times and perhaps it would be a good idea to hide this failure of the figure behind a rock. So that it looks that the cloak emerges out of rocks. But we will see how Tequilaman will decide.

Wow thank you very much for this. I think the result looks promising but it will require some work. Let's see what I can do with some putty, a knife and a file.
