I have some recasts in my collection and all are OK. Some are even better than R - those thin pesky legs and spear shafts. "My" recaster uses different metal than Rackham and it's much more durable when it is thin. Disclaimer: all recasts are there to be replaced by originals when opportunity arises.
About models: I would be happy whit any new R models. But my main objection is differences between some concept arts and sculpts: for example water elemetntal and daikine musitian.

I caved a few months before and ordered my first Confrontation recasts from Legendarion. I bought a set of Templar Warstaff that have since been chopped up for conversion. But the casts were only ok at best. Flash, mouldlines, and strangely placed gates, all par for the course, I think, with recasters. Nothing spectacular, but I still would think twice before making more orders - it seems like a fair amount of work to get them up to speed to paint. There's another guy on e-Bay, Gastonfly, who always seems to have a lot of rare stuff. I suspect he is also a recaster, but I do wonder what his stuff is like? I've been wondering about ordering something from the Cadwallon/Legendarion site just to see what they're like. As tempting as it is to get all sorts of models I think I'd restrict myself to pieces for conversions and maybe bulking out units for Ragnarok. I'd be a bit more comfortable about getting the post Rackham models even though they still infringe on the IP. Noticed Gastonfly a lot recently on Ebay. There used to be a big suspected recaster in China selling on Ebay a few years ago but it looks like they're gone now.

I've ended up with quite a bit of the Legendarion stuff in trades now. The quality is pretty much perfect on everything. That includes metal and resin.

I would have loved to have seen more half-elf units for the Devourers. Maybe some heavily armoured elites and a ranged option. Enough to run a sensible all-half-elf list. It would have been nice to see Scruple and Velrys's other sibling too, all we ever got for him/her was a name...

I really wanted more Samurai gobbos, the Samurats, Bazuka, and Wazabi, all so cool and with so much flavor but they just kind of petered out. I finally picked up a box of origional Strohm mounted Calvalry to throw samurats on for a conversion, but it would have been awesome to have enough models to flesh out the Uraken clan without doing so.

The Akkyshan elves Based on the concept art they'd have been all kinds of awesome.
There are also the sculpts that were completed, but never released. I'd love to have got my hands on the bigger tiger of Dirz/Shamir and the Aberration Omega.

Did you ever see the stuff Aarklash Chronicles was doing with their possible own IP for the Samurai Goblins. It was awesome, I'm so sad they died. Below is a Goblin Riding a Dragon or something and some of the Ronins they were going to do.

I liked the stuff that Aarklash Chronicles did, their artwork for Ophidiens was also quite good
seems a crying shame that Legacy/CMON can't get their act because the consumer interest is still there, why else are there still guys recasting, making new art and new models

I wish I could have seen that goblin model riding the rat. Very nice artwork.

I wonder if they will ever release the Proteus on cadwallon.com since they are putting out other previously unreleased and new Confrontation minis. That would be the coolest thing ever.

Would be awesome to see a sculpt for every model that had a card. My favorite faction ended up being mid-nor, I played them the most, and had the most luck/skill playing them. Was quite a few things in the faction decks that never saw an actual sculpt.
