I finished painted some new Askari models recently and thought I'd post them up with the rest of my force. Most of this I've posted elsewhere, the new models are at the bottom. I'll add more as I finish them. Even though I have a lot more Jokers (and Devourers, and Yu Jing, etc) to paint, I've been enjoying painting my horrid clones of late. So these photos look good on my computer screen but awful on my phone screen - ymmv. Aicha Askari Askari Warrior Askari Defender Almeh Askari Alghul Musharef and Lahrima Tarik Ghazi Panthera (aka Ghazi's secret cuddle-time pal)

And here are my newest models, recently completed. Arkabut This poor gal sat around for the best part of a year half painted. Finally finished her off recently, she's not great but she's good enough. Her ankle started to bend under her own weight during the time she was stuck in her box, so I had to break it and pin it halfway through painting.
Askari Ifrit Who needs a face when you can have a flamethrower instead? I did a bad job of the horns (I always struggle with horns!) but I really like this guy. He's so big and chunky!Next on the painting table is one of these two: Not particularly jazzed by either model, but the second one will go well with the most recent release for the Askaris.

Very good paintjobs! As I already said with the Jokers, I really like the way you handle the colour-scheme on your models, so that the same colours can be found on various places on different models. And these ones are pretty dirzy to me as well.

They are definitely very Dirz-like, even down to their rules. Lahrima (the one who looks like a Hybrid) can be made to explode when he dies (just like a Pest of Flesh!). And the whole faction has special rules that allows you to customise them to suit your opposition, which is thematically very like Mutagenic. Also, there's no ignoring the fact that Arkabut is basically a sexy Skorize clone.

Very nice paintjobs! I really like the subtle tints of color in the skin-tones.
Thanks for sharing. Saving these photos for reference, for when I paint my own.

I like the softer earth tones against that green, it really makes the tail of the scorpion, tubes on the Ifrit, and the tiger's eyes pop!

Thank you for the kind words! Here's my latest Askari model - the second version of the slave-boy Lahrima. Bit of a rushed job but he'll do. Looking at him now I see I forgot to apply any red washes around his implants to make them look sore, but I can do that later.
