I found this from Vraiforum, it might be that I didn't get all the details or mixed something up.
• the publisher has not the best reputation, but does some fine RPG books • it seems they want a Skirmish and a Boardgame (some RPG or more like Hybrid?) • it's quite certain that they have the licence • the approached the Italians with Confrontation Evolution • from the timeline, it seems to happen after Rag'Narok, which means that some factions might not survive • is that Mira on the cover an a Wolfen with the Cadwallon coat of arms?
In the end, we have to wait and see what miniatures they bring.
I picked it up somewhere in the four pages (at the moment) in the Vraiforum. On Friday, Loïc Muzy will be live on Facebook, that's the guy who made the flyer, as far as I understood. As said, the french forum has much more info in their thread, this was just a quick summarya s far as I understood the thread.
they do have the IP, cyanide only had it, cmon had leased it from cyanide mainly to boost their game and stop confr. indeed, they've contacted us at evo and the other big guys in the french community to discuss future plans fingers crossed!!
Epic Twin Minis had a Livestream on Facebook, and they said some things about Ressurection (again, I translated this from the french Vraiforum, because apart from few names and things, I couldn't reallly understand the video, school french is too long ago).
• It won't be prepainted plastic, that's for sure. What material they will use was not said, also nothing about bases. • The miniature quality won't be like from the Conan Boardgame. • They aim for the old aesthetics and miniature quality. • They get all the old concept art and stocks from Rackham • Old miniatures will still be playable. There might be new models, but not necessarily new stats. • A lot of old Rackhamers spontaniuosly contacted them and offered their help. • Nothing about the actual release date. The announcement is 2017, but if it really will be released this year is another question.
Some news from the french CORD-Forum, as there has been a meeting with the french and italian CORD and Olivier and Loic from SD. See also the above mentioned Epic Twin Minis, it seems both of them are the driving force behind Resurrection:
• SD opened on Raiziers the possibility for financial aid. This is not like a kickstarter, more like stocks, as far as I get it and the minimum is 1.000,-€.
• Resurrection will be the Skirmisher, but there will also be Boardgames in the world of Confrontation. The boardgame miniatures will be compatible to the skirmisher. • There will be new exclusive models and revisioned old models (the classic line). For the boardgames, it will most likely be plastic, for the classic line Resin. Nothing set yet about the material for Resurrection, the community will be confronted with it. • Base-size and -shape won't matter for the game. The first designs of the pre-structured bases will be shown soon. • The rules will be more contemporary and the stats revised. Therefore, it will be either new versions of old models (see the classic line above) or new profiles. • The boardgames shall be quick and easy. You play a group of heroes and it will be compatible to Ressurection. They also think about a new Hybrid version. • All of the design team are old Confrontation fans who really care for the project. • The are contacting and making contracts with other designers and sculpters. There is no direct contact with Cmon or Rackham, but some (former) members already have been contacted or offered help • Cyanide sold all the rights, except for Computer games. They support the project. • There will be close contact with the french and italian CORD, their rulesets are supported by SD and could be used in the future as well.
I'm pretty anxious to see what may come of this. While I never really played much Confrontation, I was a big fan of both Hybrid and Cadwallon. With the talk of board games being part of this project, I'm hopeful they will do something that feels like a mix between Hybrid and Cadwallon.
