The Akkyshan are ready for battle! Varmishi Varmishi Archer Akari Templedancer Black Widow The colour scheme is grey skin, black-ish armour, leather and red clothes and orange hair and spikes. The wash for the skin was a bit too dark and I need to imrpove on the armour, but it was the first time I tried black. As the spider elves live in the forest, the bases contain a lot of wood and leaves, as well as the remains of different victims, covered in spiderwebs. Might be that the webs are way to impractical during gaming, but it sure looks cool.

Thanks! There is a tutorial for spider webs from Massive Voodoo, but it's more for display models, as it is very fragile. I simply used liquid white glue from Uhu. In Germany, it's called "Flinke Flasche", the american version is "Twist & Glue". There was a tutorial video some pages before, but the blog is not registered-users-only, so I'll just describe it. I put a small dot on my index finger and pressed shortly against my thumb, then repeated the open-press-move several times. The glue will fabricate these white fine threads. With every opening and closing movement, I moved it across the part I wanted to cover. You have to be quite quick, as the glue hardens fast and won't be sticky for long. if that happens, just rub the remaining glue from your fingers and start again. Sadly, the stuff can't be varnished, because it would turn to a coherent surface. But it could come in handy when I have to make some translucent plastic.

Thank you! As I used different models from different games, I needed a real connecting base concept, and the webs are a strong connection. The next ones are done. Atrash Akari Archers Spiderswarm

You’ve certainly upped your basing game. Excellent group so far.
